Here's what I listen to:
Billy Joel
Eddie Money
Genesis
Robert Palmer(Power Station was his best work)
Blues Brothers
Nickelback
Creed
Matchbox Twenty
Areosmith
Paul McCartney & Wings
Def Leppard
Eagles
Fleetwood Mac
Supertramp
Men At Work
Chicago
Styx
Boston
Avril Lavigne(yes, I'm confident in my manliness to admit that)
John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band
On the radio side:
mostly personality type radio on music stations(although that's becoming a rarity due to voicetracking & "cookie cutter radio" ala JACK-FM)
"Shock Talk" radio(as I like to call it)

Under normal condidtions, mostly garage rock. Top picks are Paul Revere and the Raiders, Chocolate Watchband, and the Electric Prunes. There is also Redd Kross.
(No, I did not grow up with these band. I just found them. Well, I did grow up in the Redd Kross era.)
In the Viper, metal is a must. Basically, anything with grit. Joan Jett, GnR, Crew.
When just cruising the stars, pop rock is good, but never anything too wussy!

I fell in love with a couple songs that rock, we used them in some cheer routines. One is on the Lost In Space sound track, I think its number three, Get Busy Child. Totally rocks.
The other is track 8 on the Tomb Raider CD, The Revolution Will Be Televised. Those two get me going, and when I borrow my gf's rice rocket (GSXR-1000) I can really get it wound out. I keep wanting to trade her my Jeep for it, but she wont have it... cant say I blame her, Rocky isnt exactly doing great these days, hes seen better days. Maybe I can trade him for one....

If I were a Viper pilot, my battle theme would be Blood Red Skies from Judas Priest's RAM IT DOWN album.
Awesome tune..and Rob Halford never sounded better.
Respectfully,

Whoa, dude that's my favorite Priest tune! I'd totally jack your CD from out your viper when you weren't looking.

Ahhhhhh.....well, I didn't tell you about my Viper alarm system, didn't I?
That is an awesome tune though, ain't it?
It's actually quite conducive to Battlestar Galactica.
Blood Red Skies Lyrics
Artist(Band):Judas Priest
Blood Red Skies Lyrics
As the sun goes down, I move around
Keeping to the shadows
Life, hangs by a thread
And I've heard it said, that I'll not see tomorrow
If that's my destiny, it'll have to be
So I'll face the future
Running out of time
I'm on the line
But I'll go down fighting
Felt the hand of justice
Telling wrong from right
Threw me out upon the street in the middle of the night
Cybernetic heartbeat
Digital precise
Pneumatic fingers nearly had me in their vice
Not begging you
I'm telling you
You won't break me
You won't make me
You won't take me,
Under blood red skies
You won't break me
You won't take me
I'll fight you under
blood red skies
Through a shattered city, watched by laser eyes
Overhead the night squad glides
The decaying paradise
Automatic sniper
With computer sights
Scans the bleak horizon for its victim of the night
They're closing in
They'll never win
You won't break me
You won't take me
You won't make me,
Under blood red skies
You won't break me
You won't take me
I'll fight you under
blood red skies
As the end is drawing near
Standing proud, I won't give in to fear
As I die a legend will be born
I will stand, I will fight
You'll never take me alive
I'll stand my ground
I won't go down
You won't break me
You won't make me
You won't take me,
Under blood red skies
You won't break me
You won't take me
I'll fight you under
blood red skies
You'll never take me alive
I'm telling you
Hands of justice
I will stand, I will fight
As the sun goes down
I won't give in to fear
This song seems more based on "The Terminator" but it does have some lyrics that could also be used for Battlestar Galactica.
Avoiding TNS discussion, all I can say is I know who this song would be perfect for. I wish I had a copy of the song, because I have a music video in mind all of a sudden.
Respectfully,
Martok2112

Have you tried their Painkiller CD? Theres two songs (One continuous tune really) on the B side, Battle Hymm and One Shot at Glory. They are really the epic of fighter combat rock. I think they were watching Top Gun or something when they wrote that one.

That's easy for me, either Guns 'n Roses "Welcome to the Jungle" or Toby Keith's "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue". Both are good for shooting Cylons!

You know, in the same way that whenever I hear Flight of the Valkerie I think of AN, whenever I hear We Gotta get out of this Place I was think of another Vietnam movie- Hamburger Hill.
Not sure what my point is. Just sharing. Don't mind me.

Lately I have been listening to a lot of The Corrs. Say what you will about them, but Jim Corr is the best slide player since George Harrison. Bon Jovi has been getting a lot of play these days. So has GNR.
However, that said...I listen to a lot of pop, blue grass, classical, pop standards, and jazz.

Right now I'm stuck on My Chemical Romance. My friend has got me listening to Fall out Boy. Other than that Rob Zombie, All American Rejects, 50 Cent, Young Jeezy, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Ying Yang Twins. Unfortunatly at work we have to listen to this soft rock station and since I close I have to listen to Delilah so I know the words to every love song ever made since like the 50's. lol
