Default LAUNCH of TOS BSG Fanfilms website !

Dear all,

For a long time I have been championing the return of the original BSG. I'm not a 'man in a suit' in Hollywood, and I don't have any artistic talent...so my contribution is to create a website linking to all the Battlestar Galactica Fanfilms out there.

Please visit :

www.battlestarfanfilms.com

I'm looking forwards to hopefully linking to many more fanfilms over the years. Please tell others you know, and hopefully this will help Classic BSG fans be recognised as a major fanbase !

Ernie,

You may want to send a message to Kingfish, to have it included at his sites - Battlestar Pacifica and Battlestar Rycon.

Is that the same Kingfish who is a member here ? If so, I'm sure he will see it here, and I do hope he'll add a link.

The front graphic doesn't load for me. Other than that, very nice job.

Yes. All that I saw was the starfield background and the little "broken box" in the left-hand corner.

The only suggestion that I have is to check the properties for the picture that is to be displayed there. If it is a URL linked from elsewhere, check the URL to ensure that it is still a valid path. If the path is incorrect (which could be due to something as trivial as a typo), the picture won't display.

The image was linked to from elsewhere, but it wouldn't display on my other's machine either so I could see what you all saw. It was hosted with all the other files.

I couldn't (and still can't) understand why it didn't display. So I went itno Dreamweaver....toook out the image and put it in again. Then I uploaded the updated index.htm Works fine on her machine now......please can people confirm ?

Thanks.

It loads fine for me, now.

One minor request, can you change the Font Color on the links to other pages?

The dark red, against a black background, can't be read.

The dark red ? Is that after you have visited it once ? I think the colour change is to show where you have already been.......

I wasn't aware that it was unreadable.......I will look into it....thanks.....

No, that was on the initial access.

Something lighter would be nice, like a pale yellow or orange.

Thank you K.A. That's exactly the reaction I hoped the site would receive.

As many fans already know....there a severl more fanfilms in production....the site will be updated with those when they are released.....I think by this time next year we'll be seeing a great many more BSG fanfilms listed....

Great job, ernie! BTW, the files are on the way to Don for hosting. They will consist of "ensign annie" as one file and my new mini ep "Brothers of man" also in one file so you can easily link to them on your site!

There is a Battlestar Galactica Space above and beyond cross over fan trailer out there and even though I looked but couldn't find it right now, I know who made it so I will see if he is interested in having it on your site. that is if your interested.

I seen it about 3 years ago and thought it was awesome.

Cool DeSantos Trailer

I got the DeSantos trailer to work after I downloaded DivX from www.divxmovies.com/codec/ For some reason after that it worked in Windows Media Player.

Well about 3 or 4 years ago, I was posting on the sci fi channel's forum for BSG. You know, the one that was very very active at the time with most being original Galactica fans calling for a continuation. The same forum the sci fi channel had right under their noses but still claimed they didn't know an original Galactica fan base still existed. LMAO

Any way thats a whole other story. At the time I was contacted by someone who went and still goes under the name Youngdaggit on many other boards. He sent me a link for the fan film he made that took film from SAAB and BSG, then dubbed it together to make it look like the Galactica finding earth, then having them fight the Cylons and Chigs side by side and Celebrate together at the end. I was quite impressed and wouldn't mind this direction for a Galactica continuation at all.

I think he has made another Galactica fan film too because I remember someone here posting about seeing it but I can't remember much more then that.

My thanks to everyone who has viewed the website so far...........and to those who have offered content or tried to connect me with other BSG fanfilm makers.

Unfortunately (or not depending on how you look at it!) the website has been so popular it has busted its monthly bandwidth limit in just 6 days and been made unavailable by my host. !

So I'm switching host and it will return shortly I promise....
