Hehe, I enjoy the challenge. This was in Moray, too. Some futuristic furniture designs I was playing with.

The bumpmap and colormap textures I used in these two are modified variations of agate, granite, and quilted with varying reflectivity, transparency, etc. The planets in the first image- the moon, planet layer, and cloud layer- use modified mandlebrot textures.
(For instance, the moon texture is a repeated mandlebrot at .1 with a .75 turbulence black hole warp and 75 iterations.)

I just realized that the planet image is NOT he finished one- here it is, much better. Sorry, this is my last image, promise, but I had to correct that! (Much better land pattern and cloud dispersion)
