Of the costumes, the pilots uniforms are still the best of the lot.
My twisted sense of humor sees the right hand closures on that uniform being bass ackwards to the left-hand ones of the Dorleac TOS: somehow it sums up what they did to the show. Just my wacky sense of irony.

I don't get the ted reference....
Anyways, I think that uniform Olmos is wearing looks better than the others whish are pretty damn ghastly. But it bothers me that it looks like a Babylon 5 copy with a galactica patch on the arm.

Thomas?
If you put stuff like that in a distorted, perspective view, in some cases it makes things look better than they are. It also makes things look more Grand. A Plastic/Fiberglass Mock-up looks more realistic in a distorted perspective, as it changes the actual size and feel of what you're looking at.
As for the Ted Reference, look at that picture and compair it the Ted's avatar, and you tell me... Any Resemblence to Reality...?

Doubt it has anything to do with BSG, but you can see some influences in it.

As a costumer, I highly doubt to see any of these costumes recreated for Dragoncon and other conventions... though it should be pretty easy to make... get a colored trash bag... oops did I say that... sorry I can't see how they could be proud of those costumes. sigh.
As for the viper...would be nice... but we all know we will never see them in action... cuz he already said there will be no action...well not like that... there will be other "action" but that doesn't count.
Sorry to be harsh but man ... I can't get over how B5 that uniform looks and those trashbag costumes... If I get an order for one of those I will pass out then tell the person to go find another seamstress. :bash: :bash:

What's bothersome to me is that in the handful of images that I've seen from the remake production, there doesn't seem to be anything that's visually interesting. The uniforms look bland and have a vague, generic military look. What shots I've seen of the vipers make the craft look almost as though they could pass for contemporary aircraft. In my mind, the heavily curved lines of the remake versions make the fighters lose all of the cool "space hardware" look of the originals. Instead they look like the generic single person spcecraft of the future which you can pick up at your local Colonial dealership with 0% financing for the next 5 yahrens. Interesting that in a production that purports to be cutting edge, everything looks so...blah.

After reading script again, I am stuck by its blandness, it is common - there is nothing special about it.

Well... I don't hate "Captain Adama's" uniform.:uhdrop:
Don't like the other uniforms though.:upchuck: That Viper also looks like you could eat off it.
BTW the Viper Raymar3d was refering to is from Games Workshop's WarHammer 40k game.
