You got the feeling alright. If you can make the Basstar work, I hope you can reduce the file size. I would love to be able to directly from SW to LW

Most of the time, I have to actually re-surface the models. so I end up exporting his models in pieces.
3D Explorer will convert most formats, but has a hard time with his (might just be RAM issues for me)
When that fails, I use PolyTrans. And when that fails...
I export his models using the OBJ format exporter. Then convert from OBJ format to LWO format.

found this again ... Warrior where can i find this items :: 3D Explorer
where can i locate PolyTrans??? and this OBJ format exporter

It is not as good as the one they are charged for or Polytrans but it aint bad.
It also lets you view your models as well

Could some humble admirer obtain the Lightwave version to use it in the creation of a mod for Nexus-The Jupiter incident. Same subject: Which main systems would you "give" the Galactica that could be attacked specifically. So far I'm at main and auxiliary engines, generators, batteries, launch bays(?).

Wow "T"
Outstanding. Was it easy? If it was then all the TS meshes could be done as well

It was easu enough and not to much of a strain as far as I could see on my PC . I will start converting as many as I can
is thare a time limit with the DL 3D Exploration.
sropi steve created the original mesh so he is the man to ask .. I have no way myself to host the mesh.. anyone care to do so..and add the textures.. just in case there is a time limit for the 3D Exploration.

Stevew could i have your permission to use the meshes you created in a Galactica mod for the game Nexus - The Jupiter incident?
If so, do you happen to have BigG in LW format. The game requires it + heavy additions on different layers, but the results look great! I have seen a complete Star-Trek mod and it looks awfully good, the same thing we could do with our beloved Galactica!
