Osama bin Laden Alive - New Tape
Quote:
Bin Laden, speaking forcefully and jabbing his finger, said he thought of the idea of attacking the U.S. skyscrapers when he saw Israeli aircraft bombing tower blocks in Lebanon in 1982, during an invasion which he accused Washington of supporting.
"As I watched the destroyed towers in Lebanon, it occurred to me to punish the unjust the same way ... to destroy towers in America so that it can taste some of what we are tasting and to stop killing our children and women," said bin Laden.
Describing Bush's actions at the school on September 11, he said: "It never occurred to us that the commander in chief of the American forces would leave 50,000 citizens in the two towers to face those horrors alone at a time when they most needed him.
"Because he thought listening to a child discussing her goat and its ramming was more important than the planes and their ramming of the skyscrapers.
"This gave us three times the time needed to carry out the operations, thanks be to God..."

Wouldn't it be nice if he was taken to meet the families of the 9/11 victims......
...and left there?
(No smiley for this one.)

That would be fitting justice, from a revenge perspective. I do ponder what would be a fitting death for him. Anything would be too fast and limited, based on how long the suffering of so many families continues on. The following may be too morbid and upsetting for the rest of you, but who would want to imagine what they would do to him if he were strapped on a table in an empty room or torture chamber? You could take in with you any weapons or devices of your choosing. Would it be too uncivilized or personally troubling to imagine what you would do to him, or someone like Hitler or the savages beheading innocent people in Iraq?

I know it is bigoted, and seems unrefined to non-American sensibilities:
But if the word was given that the next time a Muslim pops off anywhere in the world, whether kidnapping in the Phillipines, or forced conversions in the Sudan, or the failure of the Saudis to offer female US citizens to leave the kingdom regardless of what their male relatives say, the US will give 2 hours warning for them to evacuate Mecca, after which it will be vaporized. After this, Medina will forever be called Yathrib, and if any Muslim either pops off in the ways indicated before, or even whispers the name Medina, then we give 2 hours warning to evacuate, and the city formerly known as Medina is vaporized.
We could do this without killing them, let them move out of the way. The ecological damage is often overstated.
But a demonstration that their culture will not be ascendant ever again is what it will take to give us a few generations of peace.

Darth, I never thought I would agree so completely with you, but yoiu have totally hit it on the head. Vefry eloquently. I am an American, and it hurts my sensibilities not at all. Sadly, these lice ONLY understand blood and revenge, on a tribal level, and not a thing more. Maybe we should put you in charge of such things?

My preferred method for binLaden would be as follows;
Strip him naked, and scourge him with a whip till he is bleeding freely. THEN, stake him out near an ant hill, fire ants if possible, and pour honey all over his genitals and eyes, and let nature take its course. I have other ideas, but, call me old-fashioned, the presence of ladies and young folks in this forum bids me forebare. Sorry if that seems cruel, but that's how I feel.
I am also reminded of an old Twilight Zone ep, where a former Nazi SS officer goes back to Dachau to revisit old haunts, and finds himself confronted by the ghosts of his victims. They put him on trial, and he is driven permanently insane.

Interesting, that Twilight Episode sounds. I don't think that I have the emotional guts to follow through completely with this, but my methods would include fire burning parts of his body before being extinguised, doused in alcohol, set afire again, doused in alcohol, shards of flesh stripped from his body with razors, crushing bones with vice-grips or pliars, drilling into the nerves in his teeth, crushing his testicles with a hammer, and taking an ax to his feet first and lopping off sections of his body a bit at a time until he was dead or there was little left in one piece, whichever came first. But then when he died it would have been too soon and too merciful. I'm sorry, I'm feeling particularly evil at the moment. I need to go to sleep. I hope that I don't have nightmares now.

true it is.
But I would like to take him to the new world trade center building after it is finished. Shave his beard. Dress him in women's clothes. Give him breast implants. Then tell him this is how yu will go into the hereafter, and toss him off the edge of the bulding.

If you wanted a vengeful death: Just send him to an American male prison, maximum security and dorm style cells, preferably dressed either in that Afgan whole body cover the women had to wear (burka?), tell them who he is (and if you really want it to be nasty) tell them he's a pediphile and look the other way the first night.
That would about do it. One dead former terrorist.
Better yet, well arm about a hundred Afgan women, tie him to a stake in an open field and let them "tell" him what they thought of the Taliban. Same result as above, other than he'd have his beard plucked out and not have been raped. Still dead.

Don't bother with the costume. According to what I hear, there are 3 things you don't want to be sent to prison for and put in with the general population: a child murderer, a child molester, and a terrorist. Seems the average prisoner takes a dim view of those crimes.
If Bin Laden was captured, tried, convicted, and sentenced to life w/o parole, life would be less than 24 hours.

Sooner or later, we'll get him. Hopefully it won't be with a 500lb bomb. We'd need easily identifiable remains.
Do what you want to his body, but don't touch his face.

1) We have a DNA profile from his relatives, so scraping up a slimy pile of goo counts just as well for identification purposes.
2) Counterfeiters/Big Time Forgers get the most respect in prison.

Forget the weapons. I think that nails, teeth, and fury, would be sufficient.

Ordinarily I'd agree with you. However, many of his followers worldwide are so backward that DNA idendification is science fiction to them. They'd only believe an image of the body with the face intact. And even then they'd say it was faked.

Yeah...definitely in the medieval age. When they were haveing classes in Afghanistan to teach about democracy they found that the class sometimes needed to learn first how to use the pens they were given.
I read that in the LA Times.

One can eat with one's fingers. Writing, and all that goes with it, is of the mind.

Don't insult the Medieval Age. We're talking caveman days here, thomas.

Back to the original post, it always baffles me when some political claim is tied to either the plight of the Palestinians, or the existance of Israel.
Back in '82, the high school debate topic was arms control, so I learned a lot about global conflicts.
Lebanon had huge problems, and I would argue it has much less to do with American intervention than with the Arab fantasy that Israel will put pushed in to the sea.
