It's nice to see that the two best ever TV show releases on DVD, Galactica and the Dick Van Dyke Show received honors.
Competition among 70s shows though, I don't think offered much that could have made an effective challenge so it would have been an outrage if any other show had gotten that honor.

TOS Trek season 1 also won. Kudos. Kirk is the best. The Shat rocks!!!

I don't know about different. IMHO Shatner had to adapt and reinvent himself to escape Kirk. If you read his Trek books it sounds like we are seeing two characters Kirk and Shatner. Kirk has become a character who no longer wants glory or adventure finally knowing that his journey is about people and not technology (The Enterprise). I like the way he names his son Joseph. Joseph was Shatner's father's name.
