BSG Guest Miniatures
Hi all, I'm doing a bit of research into the different miniatures that turn up in Galactica after the pilot. So far I've got:
The secret Cylon base (LPOTG).
Ravishol Pulsar gun and mountain top (GOIPZ).
Robber's shuttle and Sixth Millennium Fighter (LP).
Lightship (WOTG).
Canares shuttle (MWNL).
Paradeen shuttle and Eastern Alliance Cruiser (GFE).
Celestra and Celestra tracking array (TTC).
Raider landing bay (HOG).
Can you think of any more?
The Cylon base from Lost Planet of the Gods turns up in The Hand of God as the entrance to the Raider landing bay on the basestar.
Also, in War of the Gods, when Apollo, Starbuck and Sheba first spy the wreckage of Iblis' ship, it looks like a miniature in the longshot. Can anyone confirm this?
If you think I've left any out shout up!
Best,
Peter

The lightship is destroyed. Some idiot walking in a dark storeroom accidentally smashed it. The Alliance Cruiser is perfectly fine. It was sitting on the counter next to the special effect guys at Galacticon. I stood right next to it. Its TINY.
The paradeen shuttle I forget about... but the guy who built it has a website. So if you search hard you can find it. I lost my link in a hard drive crash.

Cylon Basestar was destroyed in transit to Universal-Orlando, if I recall.
Some, I think east coast collector has the original Battlestar, which has been rehabbed and isn't quite original (I suspect they made the bays truly symetrical when that's not how Apogee designed them or how the warpage affected it.

basestar was smashed to smitherines. Someone dropped the galactica on top of it. The galactica won. Its ALOT heavier. Much damage was incurred in the last final battle. But it has been repaired. Along with other damage that has happened along her lifespan.
She is now privately owned.

My old friends, I don't particularly care what happened to the miniatures after the show, I just want a full accounting of their use during the show!
If I've left any out please inform me, I'm not counting anything from Saga.
Best,
Peter

There is also Starbuck's little minicraft he built with Cy the Cylon. There was actually a fullsize prop which had some differences from the miniature. Though that may not count being its G80'
Though if you did count G80 you could add in the advanced Cylon craft, Z's flying saucer, and the Viper 2 seater and bikes.
hmmmmm.....need to go back to processing old files for relevant data.....
uhmmm... the agroships?...goes back to thinking......

Tom -
I don't think that the Agroships could actually count - they only used footage from Silent Running, not the models themselves....
Best,
Bryan

Thomas, I think that one's a matte shot.
Do I include the Prison Barge?

Wasn't that miniature later used as Buck Rogers' long range shuttle in the pilot?

According to Ken Larson's site you're right Thomas. It was used to make Buck's shuttle, the Paradeen shuttle and the Searcher shuttle from season two of Buck.
Best,
Peter
