remain calm.
If you've ever worked in an emergency room, you've seen much more sinister things stuck inside (or up, or through) people.
Just think, in another seven years you can tell her boyfriend about this.

Be Calm! Tomorrow it will be a great story to tell the rest of your relatives.
My daughter, now almost seven, once seemed to be laboring when breathing through her nose when she was about three. I discovered a large number of peas shoved up her nose.
My brother dropped a styrofoam bean pellet from a stuffed animal in his ear when he was six. The doctors got it out with no problem but we love to tell the story to the next generation when the "stupid things kids do" subject comes up.
You have to love being a Dad!

Just think of it this way Don. You'll have plenty of stories to embarass her when she has children! Her kids will love it and try to top it!

Hey Al, congrats!
By the way people, trauma averted. Please stand down red alert!
The aparatus has melted. You may now return to regular breathing!

HA! You know if she would have sniffed pepper, Don would have been the one who sneezed!!
Don,
Glad to hear that everything worked out ok (and our kids have the nerve to wonder why we have gray hair!)

Glad to hear about this after all is well!
Of course I could have told you about the kid that I was next to in the hospital when I was 4.... he stuck an unpopped popcorn kernel in his ear.... yes it popped.... he was fine the day after the surgeon got it out...

There is a bright side to everything, Don. At least for the next couple of days, every breath she takes will smell minty fresh to her. =)
