Default Breaking Radio Silence

Hello, you lot!

I was not a regular viewer of the original BATTLESTAR GALACTICA™, but I did enjoy the episode wherein a bloke was stranded with a CYLON™, as I always enjoy any of the ENEMY MINE™ variations that I have seen/will see in future.

To my mind, there is no need to boycott the new miniseries because it is not the original, just as there is no reason to boycott the current adaptations of the works of MR. FRANK HERBERT because they are not the work of MR. DAVID LYNCH.

I understand the emotional/sentimental attachment one can have to SF programming, but there is so much to be thankful for that I try not to allow myself to become embroiled in flamewars about "What Is, & What Should Never Be".

Hi Malcolm,
Welcome!

We try to keep the news channel down to site/or BSG related news. I'm going to shift you over to the Good stuff about the mini, but if you'd rather be elsewhere, let me know. Your post is kinda in the middle of things.

The episode you refer to is Galactica 1980's Return of Starbuck, the best of an otherwise under-realized, network-designed sequel to the original show *ducks the approaching salvo from Peter and Steve, , lol* (Steve & Peter like G80, most fans write it off as a bad dream.)

welcome!

JEWELS,

It was not my intention to queer your pitch by posting in the forum I did.

Unfortunately, because the contention around the new miniseries is so great, I played it too safe, lest I offend someone inadvertently, thereby becoming branded as a flame artist with my first post.

Thank you for relocating my post in a relatively painless manner!

I didn't boycott the mini because it wasn't the original.
I boycotted the mini because of it's Richly deserved TV14 rating.

Husband is BIG Teddy Bear. But he'd defend my honor without hesitation. He's not the tallest guy in BG fandom/spousedom though: Darrell and Titon are up there in the clouds too and we might have to put a stobe atop Michael Faries....

Avatar is Jane. Thomas stole my planet, my WHOLE planet! :bash: to make me her. It was a worthy experiment....but I MISS MY PLANET heheheheehee I also love teasing Tom back about my "facelift".

Guys seem to really like Jane. But then I like Richard & Dirk so....I get my drool time in too.
