Will X3 delay the BG Film Project?
Dark Horizons has a little of an interview with X-Men Producer Lauren-Shuler Donner who says she wants X-3 to be a summer 2005 Movie, which would probably keep Desanto's busy for some time. IMDB is still listing X3 as a 2006 movie, but the producer probably knows better.
If the BG has to wait for DeSanto, this could mean quite a little delay.

Desanto's working on a Transformers project at present. I thought Imdb said 2006. Cast availability will be the make or break of that schedule, IMHO. Especially if Peter Jackson does the Hobbit. Ian McKellan could need 2 of himself....

Well Jackson is taken up until 2006 with King King, so if he does Hobbit it won't be able to start until then.

Answer: No.
Everyone needs to remember: The movie is Glen Larson's baby. Tom has not been asked aboard yet. "X3" doesn't affect this movie endeavor.
Many of us are hopeful that Tom (with his career successes, experience and passion for Galactica) will be included in Glen's project. Tom's involvement with "X3" isn't firm right now, ie. no public announcements about it, despite what IMDB says. He really is focused on "Transformers" BIG time, like Jewels said.
