Thumbs up Stu Phillips 4CD Anthology Of BG

It finally arrived today. It is well worth the cubits and a must for all BG fans. Stu is a master at conducting. I sure hope they use his talents if and when a big screen version of BG is made.

Default 4-Cd set track listing

Charybdis -

Here is a link to one of the BSG websites that has a complete track listing for all 4 disks and the entire production information on the set:

http://www.battlestargalacticaclub.c...stellar08.html

There are only 2 online sources that still have this rare CD set. The first one is at:

http://www.supercollector.com/item.php?id=SPCD0104

and the other:

http://www.footlight.com/product.cfm?product_id=16113

Supercollector.com sometimes auctions off a set every couple of months on eBay at their retail price of 74.99 - the bidding never goes much higher than that. I did see a non-retail seller on eBay sell a set at the bargain price of 35-40 dollars, but I missed out on that auction!

One of these days, I really need to put aside the money to buy a set for myself, but I am holding off all purchases to make sure I have funds for the con in October - I might even see a set there.... If Stu Phillips shows up, it would be fun to have him sign it for me!

Best regards to all,
Bryan

Hi All!

I whole hartedly recomend this 4 cd set. Its the real music from the actually tracks, and not a Re-ImagingEERRRR re-recording for an album. ALthough a bit pricey its worth it for true BSG fans. The Music is Glorious!

Rich

Check Footlight records online for their catalog.

Laters!

I've had the set for a few years. It's quite an item for the serious collector.

Exclamation

Hi,

I think the point was that nobody condones ripping of Stu Phillips by copying the 4 CD set. The information I provided on BattlestarGalacticaClub.com is directly from the 4 CD set that I purchased from Intrada (no longer in stock there) and is posted to help people who are looking to buy the set. Also, I'll post the same comment here that I posted at the forums on my site: When the mini-series is broadcast on December 7th, there will more than likely be a large influx of classic (and new) fans and sites on the net for Battlestar Galactica. Since the 4 CD set is limited to a couple hundred copies, those considering a purchase should do so quickly, and certainly before December 7th.

http://www.battlestargalacticaclub.c...stellar08.html

BTW, I don't get a commission for this, the information and links are there for the fans who would like to buy the set.

Regards,

Nathan

Nathan -

My actual intent of the post was to provide as much info on the 4 CD set as possible for everyone that was asking questions. Your website is the only one I know of that has that in its entirety. There was no way to provide a link and omit the track listings. I do not condone the copying of CDs, DVDs or what have you.... I would much rather have the original with the case, liner notes, etc. It is somehow unsatisfying to just have a copy - it ruins it for me somehow.

Like I said before, it will have to wait until Galacticon - unless I find an extra 75-90 bucks lying around before then!

Best regards,
Bryan
