The boom falls
From
http://www.scifi.com/mbb/browse.php?aid=944
"Dear Battlestar Galactica BBoard Members,
Thank you for your feedback on our new, moderated BBoard system. We're continuing to work out the kinks based on your comments, and we appreciate your suggestions as to how we can improve.
To answer your most frequent question: We chose the Battlestar Galactica BBoard on which to test the new system because it's one of our busiest boards and because it's received the most complaints from you, the fans, about inappropriate content.
In addition to our moderating the board, we ask that you please keep the discussion on topic. This board was created to discuss both the classic series and SCI FI's new miniseries, which is a re-imagining of the original. The debate about a re-imagining vs. a continuation has run its course, and new articles on the subject won't be posted.
Battlestar Galactica is currently filming in Vancouver, B.C., and is scheduled to air in December 2003. We welcome discussion about it.
Thank You,
SCIFI.COM Staff"

If this is in fact true, in other words, it sounds like they won't allow us to ask for a continuation on their board anymore! What a surprise. Clear the decks for RDM's Galactica.

Skiffy has drawn their line
Sorry about the cross post but this is the answer everyone has been wanting to hear:

My reply:
So now we know where we stand
Finally.
We don't think that discussion is complete yet. Because we have no desire to consume what your division is making.
Censored because we don't share your views. This is not over. It's not even begun. We will not go quietly into this good night.
Good day. Remember to update your resumes. Viacom & the other suitors may have a different POV.

hehehehe Jewels
Well, I wish I could say that this was a surprise, but it's not. It's just one more piece to a much larger puzzle.
And there were those who said I was crazy when I said this exact thing would happen...
Oh well, I'm getting used to it...

My next prediction, is that soon, many of us long time Old Guard will begin being Banned and Deleted from the SFC board, one by one. Allowing only the Pro-Moore, Pro-Milty party line to get through, with any dissenting views being "moderated out", leaviing nothing but a bboard cheerleading squad for Milty and Moore.

It just proves that the SciFi board isn't worth our time or attention.

Scooter and Jewels: Big news travels fast. We must have all been typing at the same time.
In response, if it is true, I plan to start frequenting and promoting gastrof's BG Replacement Board in place of RDM's Censor Central. That is, when I'm not here.

They wont have to ban us they will simply not put our posts up.
I say we spread the news to other fan Forums.

Spread the reputation they just gave themselves. "We censor what we don't like." See how science fiction fans respond to that.
Great idea, Scooter.

OK, you were right about this. And I remember something a certain webmaster told me about another site. Some things we hold loosely for they are not really ours, but they can be ours for a time.
We just need to get the word spread to other fandoms that Skiffy went on the offensive (read that several ways).
I want you to note though that everytime I've posted a link to a fan site it has gone through the mods.
Anybody know an ACLU lawyer? They could have some fun perhaps.

Jewels,
We must not leave paper trails. We all know that we are being watched.
Just pick a site and do it!
BTW can you please PM me the URLS to where you hit so I can read it.

The Moore Fans already know that our Scaper friends will never support them.

i noticed that at the sci-fi forum. i have washed my hands of that place. it use to be fun to go there, but if every topic i post does not get posted then what is the point.
i wish there was something the aclu could do. it is a shame what has been done there.
that bboard wil die when the moore-ites leave and no one else goes. that is the true disapointment of that forum. the moore-ites are not fans of the series.(some of them are fans but not all.) most of them are fans of a writer.
