We get information in spurts and dribbles - and much of that turns out to change by the end of the day (if it isn't deliberate misinformation to begin with). Frustrating? Yes. Expected? Given the events of the past couple of days, probably should be.
I'm too new to the scene (so to speak) to really know who's "in the know" and who wants to be and is therefore speaking louder (hints and pointers would be welcome from some of you who have been here longer - privately if you prefer). I don't follow any other boards so I'm pretty much in the dark about rumors from elsewhere. I've never seen anything about the RDM vision except what I've read in the past few weeks as I navigated my way to CF.
I am a member of this forum because the people here have expressed opinions that most closely reflect mine (most of the time) and because I'm less likely to be flamed here than elsewhere if I respectfully dissent. Respect runs rampant here.
I'm here to learn about the comeback of a show that has had such incredible promise that it has survived with no studio support (unlike Star Trek) with as rabid a fan base as Star Trek ever had (that was a nice discovery for me).
I'm also here to lend my support to the concept of a continuation - or at the very least a
retelling (not "reimagining") that is true to the spirit and concept of the original, and not morphed into a bad Star Trek episode.
Since I personally can't light a fire under any studio/network executives, I'm taking a wait-and-see attitude. Apparently, something may be heard in the next week or two, and I'm eager to hear what it is.
Well, another long post. Hope I didn't bore anybody...

P.S. - no, I am not advocating arson - but a phaser, maybe, set on heavy stun..?
