This is a random thought that came to me the other day. I just had to share it with everyone and see what others think...
Imagine, 'they' decided to create a new, original BSG series, as a continuation of the old one. Of course, with the passing of time and actors (Lorne Green, we salute you...

) it is decided that a new crop of actors and actresses are needed, to form the BSG version of 'The Next Generation', to support and work with the remaining original cast.
For instance, Richard Hatch reprises his role as Apollo, only he's Commander Apollo now, in Command of the Galactica (Unless Tigh comes back too). He would take on the same role as Adama did for him, for a new set of hotshot pilot heroes.
Which leads on to my thought: if the 'Producers' asked YOU who you think should be asked to star in this venture, who would you suggest and for what role?
Here's mine, and the starting point for this.
I would suggest, for the role of Apollo and Sheba's daughter Hera (a common choice of name among fanfic writers)... Emma Watson.
This is partly due to an article I read about her that day, and it sparked this. In such a role Miss Watson could throw off that 'Hermione' mantle that threatens to drop over her. She's already done so to a degree, but this could also be a role she could sink her teeth into.
The character would have been born and grown up within the Galactica's hull: it would be the only home she's ever known. Also, there were no colonies, all she's known is the great trek and search for Earth. With her parentage, she's not only beautiful, but there are high expectations for her. Daughter of two of the best pilots around, and grand-daughter to both Adama and Cain, two living legends. I'd have her as the central character, much as Apollo is in the original series. This would allow her to explore how her character relates to her parents and the original cast, how she does things in similar situations to those her parents got into, etc...
Plus the fact that she gets to be a hot, sexy woman, who is also strong and resourceful (I agree fully with her that in regard to being sexy, 'The less shown the more attractive you are'). Anne Lockhart and Maren Jensen proved that you don't need to wear almost nothing to be sexy, and that you can be strong at the same time.

... Besides, who could pass up the chance to fly a Viper!?!?!?!

And shoot other people with laser guns!?!?!
And so, introducing with a little photoshop wizardry...
Emma Watson
As Hera

Colonial Warrior, pilot, heart-trob to many, angel to all, and the child of Apollo and Sheba.
So, Whom would you suggest, and why?
