What If Baltar's Clan (Hypothesizing)
Had for generations made zillions of Cubits by playing the Cylons off against the humans and then engaging in black market sales, piracey, etc. (As suggested in Saga of a StarWorld.)
And then were able to convince the Cylons to allow Baltar Industries to remanufacture thmeselves into forms that could be sold to humans as helper-robots to allow for infliltration of human society.
And then at a given date the infiltrator cylons rose up against the NS Colonials in a bitter war. And the war so terrible that even the Cylons could be convinced to leave in an uneasy cease-fire. That is until prodded back into the Final Solution, much to the profit of the Baltar Clan.
But then What is the TOS Baltarrs doing selling remanufactured TOS Cylons to the NS Colonials???
Guess I'd best leave writing and hypothesizing in more capable hands.
