Thank you for having it! Cool to actually hear an alternate that I hadn't heard before.

Isn't that the opening monologue for the first episode of G80?

That monologue is from the Galactica telefilms...

I watched my copy of "Mission Galactica: The Cylon Attack" and I heard the same monologue with Patrick McNee's voiceover.

I never really paid attention to it before I heard it on the LVRocks radio show.

Interesting....

Best,
Bryan

Sounded like what I recall from the last G80 airing on skiffy.

Didn't they redo the title sequence for syndication (talking G80)?

And might they have put the "telefilm" monologue in the redone title?

Are the telefilms on DVD?

Darrell's correct, they are only available on VHS. I found the couple I have from eBay. Steve found a copy of "Mission Galactica" in a retail store, but that's pretty rare considering how long they've been on the market.

Best,
Bryan

Does it say clearly on the telefilm VHS what they are? I assume not. How can someone be sure that they are getting the telefilm version? Where do babies come from? Are the telefilms only bootleg copies or were there official releases as well?

I think they say which are which. I don't own them, so I couldn't tell ya.

There are official release VHS copies floating about. THey were just a few episodes re-edited to movie form, if what I have read is accurate. Most likely released in non-US English language markets.

You're welcome, Topgun. Thank you for the link to the SGA.
As for the telefilms, unless you want to count the 2 hour version of Sage of a Star world, the only one I've ever seen is Conquest of the Earth.
