The name Glen Oliver....
bless his heart, wasn't he a supporter of a BSG continuation?
I drew that conclusion at least.Google turns up same name in a continuation discussion.
As such, while perhaps a valid review, certainly not unbiased.

Darth,
Battlestar Galactica doesn't exist in a vacuum. (Well, maybe the ship does, LOL)
What I mean is, there were some 67,000,000 viewers of the original when it aired in 1978. I don't know who Glen Oliver is, but if he was alive then, he may have liked it as it was, and that doesn't automatically disqualify someone, or make them biased. In fact, it makes him likely representative of an average viewer, with 67 MILLION viewers of the original.
Scifi's mini got what? 3.9 million? Likely they tuned in for something they remembered, and either liked it or didn't. It's impossible to ask them all.
I find nothing wrong with the points he made. Truth is truth, source is irrelevant.

I think 67,000,000 million viewers for the ORIGINAL as
compared to 4,000,000 viewers for the 'REIMAGINING'
speaks for itself DARTH.

4 million on a cable channel vs 67 mil from a time with only 4 networks (including PBS).Out of a population of about 200 mil slightly higher than 1 out of 4 watched one of the 4 networks available.
No doubt TOS did well. By my standards, the mini did well too.
