I am getting a bad feeling that the miniseries might do well despight the feelings of the fans of the original show. Have we become irrelevant in the scheme of things?

Bijou,

Don't lose hope!! Think of it like this, hopefully the mini will do well enough to put the NAME back in people's minds so that the interest can be used as a springboard to convince Larson & DeSanto to run with a continuation movie but, not so well that NBC/Universal will want to use IT as a template for any future efforts.

We've always been irrelevant in the scheme of things. I suspect the mini will pull in okay numbers the first night. However, I wouldn't be surprise if the numbers drop significantly on night #2.
