The last episode?
Hi, I'm new to the site. Got a question probably everyone knows but me.
What happened to the last episode where they actually found Earth? I know good and well I've seen it. To my knowledge it hasn't been shown since I was a kid. Why isn't it on the collectors DVD i just got?

Maybe you're thinking about Galactica 1980?

Hand of God is the last episode of TOS BG where we see the lunar landing.
The Return of Starbuck was the last episode of Galactica 1980.
Welcome to fleets.

That wasn't his question.
The episode you're thinking of, Commander Cain, is the premier episode of Galactica 1980 (or G80). And G80 as a whole, you will find, is largely ignored (there's some debate about "Return of Starbuck", since it was salvaged from an unshot TOS script, but that's another thread).
Hand of God was the final TOS episode.
Welcome to CF.

Dawg

For completeists, I think Galactica 1980 should be released on DVD. Sure it was disappointing but it's still be better than Moore's upcoming debacle on the Sci-Fi Channel.

G80
Did someone on CF say that G80's chances of being released on DVD are doomed???
I, too, would like to have the set on DVD if for nothing else to complete my nostalgia trip back to the late 70s and early 80s.

Thanks for the help. Are you guys sure it was G80. All the regular characters were in it if I remember. They found Earth. Landed in LA I think. Had kids that jumped into trees due to lighter gravity. Flying motorcycles. The only G80 episode I remember was Adama telling a story about Starbuck( I assume the above mentioned "Return of Starbuck") Anyway, if it was the first G80, where can I get it? Thanks.:tos:

As far as I know, there is only one video of Galactica 80 and that was a movie made out of a few episodes of Galactica 80 ( the first 3 part movie and the night the cylons landed ) and some of the original episodes ( The young lords and the hand of God ) The video movie version is not called Battlestar Galactica or Galactica 80 . It's called Conquest of the earth and it's under RCA. I know because I'm holding it in my left hand and typing with the right.
You should be able to have it ordered in at your local video store or you might even find it at a video store where they sell the Galactica episodes that were released.

Yup, that's G80. Read my synopsis of the shows and see if anything else sounds familiar.

I meant that I am a number 1 fan of Radio Galactica since I listen to it everytime it is on. Shawn has done an excellent job with the station.

Conquest...
YUP, that must have been the badly edited Conquest of the Earth video that RCA put together to sell...that would be the only circumstance of having G80 footage in with the TOS footage and original actors...

Thanks Dawg. I was wondering about which Episode was the
last episode myself. I was so angry when they cancelled the
series.
