As time passes the sets will drop in price. I on the otherhand will pay to see the show that I love. Depending on sales, fandom may have a chance at a bigger and better set. That is all for now.

This version is in full frame. The petition was originally started when it was announced that the series was going to be released in Australia(Region 4).

The complete series is not wide screen but there is a wide screen edition of the movie that is being released at the same time as the series.

thanks for the welcoming. my handle was inspired by my favorite band The Disco Biscuits. If you are interested in hearing what they sound like, go to www.biscoradio.com where you can catch live shows streamed straight to your brain. They're a jam band with all kinds of techno / jazz / rock / dNb jams.
I remember when i was a wee lad and i just couldn't wait for the next episode of BSG. i don't think i've seen an episode since the series was originally aired. i can't wait to see how it holds up to my memories.

It's late here and I work all day tomorrow so this will be very quick. I bought the DVD set today. I loved the show from when I was little and it's a little hard to remember everything when you haven't seen it in ages. I was wondering if the pilot episode on the first disc of the dvd set and the single movie dvd disc they released are the same thing?? I was watching the pilot episode and it seemed like it was but the more I watched I wasn't sure. Plus, when watching the deleted scenes on the first disc it made it seem like there was stuff missing on the pilot episode. But that could just be from 20 some years of not seeing the episodes (lol). Could someone please clear this up for me?? I bought both the Box set and the movie. I don't want to keep the movie if it is the same as the first episode on the box set. Thanks. Also, this is my first time here. Hope to make some new friends but must get some sleep or all I'll be saying tomorrow is frack, lol!!!

Pilot Sound and general picture quality
I did notice one line missing from Saga of a Star World. Just as the Cylons begin their attack, Adama orders the the weapons batteries to open fire. Then there is a reply from someone that said, "All fire control stations, manned and operational", but on the dvd, the "manned and operational" part is not there and when I turned on the subtitles to see if it was in the subtitles, it wasn't there either. I haven't noticed yet if anything else is missing. Also, I did note that the picture quality was a bit grainy at times and not as good as I remember the original broadcast. Has anyone else noticed this.

The video quality of my set (Saga, anyway) is superb.
I did get a little crackle in the audio a couple of times, but I think that's my fake theater speaker system.
The movie version is cut down from Saga. It covers the same timeframe, but there are more scenes in Saga than in the movie version. I'll say, it was amazing, after so long, to see scenes I had forgotten. I had a really, really good weekend....

Interestingly enough, I was looking at the play.com website last night. Both the UK site and the American site. Now this is going to hurt all you americans. But from what I read the UK edition of the box set which is released in January next year is actually cheaper. When I had a look on PlayUSA.com it was selling at £67.99 where as when I looked at the price for the release in the UK it will be retailing at £39.99, also there our two versions going to be released here both of which our available for pre order. The normal version will be £39.99 and the special Cylon edition which is what I assume you our all buying in the US at the moment will cost £49.99. Weather the playUSA.com price tag is taking things like shipping into consideration, I do not know. But for some reason the region 2 editions which I will be getting seem to work out a lot cheaper than it would if I was to order the series on Region 1.

Thank you for the warm welcome Muffit. Actually, I still have my stuffed Muffit that had the pull string to make him talk. I also have a little action figure of Muffit somewhere in my house. I must go long day at work again tomorrow and I have to get up in about 5 hours. Those World Series games are a killer especially when they go extra innings. Talk to everyone again.

Hi Starbuck_Frack! Wow! You have the stuffed talking toy? I saw it at EBay once. Hang on to it! It should be worth a lot someday!
