...As for not having seen Galactica, I'm quite sure there are more than just a small few here who would be more than happy to facilitate that for both you and katee, because from her statements, it doesn't sound like she's seen much of it either.

As for Katee, her statements are fairly clear that her knowledge of Galactica, asside of course the length of Dirk's Hair, is at best limited...

From reading the interview, it seems pretty obvious that she may have only seen a few passing moments of the 1978 pilot. Nothing more.
