If you haven't done so already...
Could you please make your thoughts known on (if you would support a prequel) the thread 12458: Question- Best time frame for prequel posted by dravishol on the Sci-Fi board.
Thank you!

I'm confused again. I thought at this point the prequel idea was pretty much off the board, and the remake project is in effect.

The prequel is off the board for the sci-fi channel.
We still have time to convince Universal to put a stop to this.
I don't understand why people choose to hide in here and bitch about it when they should be on the Sci-Fi boards voicing their opinions.
And another thing, is anybody writing letters to Diller?
I fail to see the useless effort in mailing Bonnie Hammer. We know all too well her opinion about us.

Why so judgemental? We all do what we can, as we can. I am quite active in my own way, as I'm sure everyone else is. We aren't hiding and bitching, we're discussing something we feel strongly about. I understand that you're frustrated with the way this is going. It spoils the point you're trying to make if you lash out at people.
I don't know if I'd support a prequel. Only if it's truer to the original than the remake, and well done, I suppose.

The scifi boards have only had a few decent posts of late and its frustrating to see the trolls starting at least 1/2 of the threads. We need to make a lot of noise wherever we are. I just haven't had my thoughts together of late. I'm not a good story spinner I guess. But there are some good ideas out there.
Snail mail: I'd write everyone other than Bonnie, but send Diller's as registered or certified as you can swing. Just think of it as someone has to individually sign for these things: it takes extra time. Their supervisor will notice. Maybe they complain up the chain of command.... You never know which pebble will start the avalanche. What could it hurt?

Now, the sci-fi bboard is swamped with "Neo-Galacticans".

They may help...
Talk to the Neo-Galacticans... I have a recent post there explaining the battlestar fans feelings regarding a prequel vs a remake, and the neo-galacticans who replied said they would gladly support a prequel if it was still based on Ron Moore's script.
If the Neo-Galacticans voice that they'd support a prequel as well it may be helpful.
*Mind you these conversations are based on the assumption that the Moore project is going through and it's down to determining between a remake and a prequel. I want a continuation... however if Universal goes with the Moore production I do not want it to be a remake.

Post a link to whichever SF board you are referring to for those of us who don't necessarily know they exist let alone visit them?

Keep talking civily to the neo-Galacticans: appeal to the fan in them--they understand what it is to love a show. Get them to watch the BSG marathon. Specify what eps. you would want them to see to really sample the best of BSG. We may find more allies than we know.
And there is still hope that forces outside SciFi could cause this remake could change course to prequel (Why else would Eick be kicking into high gear and the trolls be so busy? Obviously there is something larger afoot.)

i would support a prequel if it was done right and showed the events that lead up to the original show. And if it included our favorite cast
