Default Frag's avatar or Galactica - The Animated Series

I decided I needed a new avatar and one thing led to another and this picture is the end result. I don't know about you, but I'd watch this show.

Nice!

Would love to see a series of work by you of this art, Frag!

Thumbs up

Frag, I know some of my GINO rants probably annoyed you. You are also part of a handful of people who over time got me to relax and not suspect every new series fan of some evil agenda. Your TOS avatar the first time around comes from someone of talent and a passion. When you switched to the Lee Adama avatar my first thought was, “you know I’d watch that…give it chance”. My second thought was this guy is another example of a real person who likes both versions.

The subject has been brought up often about a continuation done animated. Yeah, I’m on the long list of not my first choice but it holds one alluring promise. TOS continuing right after Hand of God and that nearly makes me drool. In a perfect world there would be a live actor big screen continuation and animated continuation. In a happy world just the animated one. Either way I’d be early inline for the DVD set.

What you have there is awesome. The labor would probably be insane but what you have there should and could be a powerful fan film. I’d love to hear you are doing it.

Terrence -

I really love your art! I remember your first avatar - it had a "Batman - The Animated Series" look to it. Then you came up with your wonderful TNS avatar and now a tribute to our favorite cigar-chomping Lieutenant....!

Terriffic!

(Psst.... I recognize the background for this bit of art - an excellent inspiration)

Best always,

Bryan

P.S. - When do we get to see more?

Frag,

This is a great piece of work. Although I must ask, if the Colonial Warrior meant to be Starbuck, or just a generic warrior, I'm not sure ?

You have a great talent.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. You're the best. I'm really glad to hear you like it. And believe me, I'd love to do more, but it's a constant struggle between desire, time, and my painfully short attention span. Guess which of the three wins.

For those of you who don't recognize the background, it's a Ralph McQuarrie production painting from Star Wars (the planet Yavin). I have a version of the picture using one of the Galactica paintings he did (the viper planetside) but it lacked this image's dramatic punch.

Anyway, between you and me, I'd like to do some more in this style, so you never know.

It's a nice avatar. The full art is superb. Really nice. I could buy into an animated series with art that good. I've like all of your avatars so far.

Clearly this picture looks terrible and shows not the slightest sign of talent or skill. - ok, I lied, its brilliant.

Very cool picture indeed. The pose, the face and similiarity and the background is simply great, including the amazing clouds and the moon. Thanks for sharing!

But you do know, that now that are mouths are watering, you have to give us more, do you?

Great!

Depends on your perspective.

The original (or one and only IMO) Starbuck was and is quite easy on the eyes. I still like Frag's illustration too.
