Seems to me C.O.R.A. the advanced viper Star'Buck flew in one of the episodes was a ship put together mainly in it's advanced computer systems and the ship had no weapons because this ship was sacrificing weapons for speed, so that leads to the question of rescorces how can the galactica build all sorts of experimental fighters and how would a rag tag fleet of survivors be able to keep building new class fighter craft?

They never threw anything away. You can always create something new out of old parts. Look at it this way; The earth has limited resources, yet new items are invented everyday from what we already have here. Metal used in a can years ago may now be in the computer that I am entering this data into. It is just a matter of renewal. Never throw any thing, or anyone, away.

Sad that the most creative thing that the writers could come up with to give Starbuck a wisecracking female counter part was a talking ship.
