It thus far has been interesting to watch, even if from being able to compare it to the Bruckheimer shows on CBS. The plots have not been as developed as much as the CSI shows, but have concentrated more on character introduction. Which reflects the NBC to go with character-driven vs CBS placing a little more emphasis on plot. And in the case of e-ring it has worked thus far. Bruckheimer's inital characters are just different enough from the NBC stock characters that they do.hold your attention. The Colonel, his assistant, and the young major seem to be the central characters. And they are pretty good. Everybody tries to write the character that is mostly decent, but who can get down and dirty when required. The Colonel seems to fit the bill. Most of the time these type characters seem to wimp out at the last second, but the Colonel seems to be just enough of a hardacre. The assistant character has plenty of room to develope the character, and I just like her. I wasn't sure about the young major, but in the last episode the colonel comments on his Polish backround. Recently I did find out that I had a direct ancestor that came from a province that was either Polish or German, depending on who was running the country at the moment. Tickles my funny bone, or sense of irony.
Anyway, so far, so good.
