Favorite Battlestar Galactica Book?
What's your favorite Battlestar Galactica book?
You may, of course, include Richard Hatch's books.
You must choose ONE AND ONLY ONE .
And why is it your favorite?

I'd have to say the very first one Based on Saga.
There's alot of depth to how the colonial and cylon war had begun and progressed. Plus there was a deeper history of the conflict along with more in depth look at the Galactica herself.

My favorite is also the first one.
That's really the book that opened my eyes to Galactica's possibilities, beyond what we saw in the tv series.
And I have a special place in my heart for 'Tombs of Kobol' cause that was the first of the books I ever owned and I wore it out! I LOOOOOOOVED Serina's excerpts - and the story of Gemi (sniffs).

I would have to say that my current favorite is one of the Richard Hatch books. I haven't read any of the original paperbacks in years other than "Saga".
I think that the title I have in mind is Battlestar Galactica: Ressurection
Best,
Bryan

favorite novel
My favorite of the BG novels is also "The Tombs of Kobol." The book, like the episode, is very sad at the end.

Richard's last book, Destiny, had the best characterisation of Baltar I've ever read in a BSG novel. I could actually picture John Colicos saying the dialogue.
Robert Thurston's novel based on Saga is very good, especially the Adama Journal pieces.
Nicholas Yermakov's Living Legend stands out for me though, even the bit at the start with Troy reading about his dead father.
The final paragraph with Adama and Apollo is excellent.
Quote:
They walked off down the corridor together. They didn't even notice that they kept in step.

I think one of the best novels was Yermakov's War of the Gods. That one and Saga are probably my favorite BSG books.
