Very impressive!
Love that coloring with the General Lee! LOL!
I really like what you did with the TOS viper. It seems a bit sleeker the way you have it. Very nice!
I'm also interested in the warrior cycle. As far as i know this is the first cg cycle i've seen ever done. Also the raptor. The only raptor i've seen is the one we did for the show.
Welcome to Fleets by the way and yes tell us what program your using.

Thanx for the compliments !
A little about me:
I used to use 3D Max years ago, but the school I was in switched to Maya...
Maya is what I have been devoting my time to and learning as my primary 3D package as well as learning other 3rd-party dynamic/particle simulation programs, etc...
When I was in school, I didn't go thru the Game Art program, I went thru CG visual effects and animation program and graduted in March 2005 after 4.5 long years... All of the electives I chose were related to film, camera techiques, editing, compositing, and sound design...
Working on a game is fun, even if I am not getting paid anything for it, and I get to learn new things that I didn't need to know for doing high resolution CG work for film...
I would love to do CG work for Sci-Fi movies and Television shows... At least that is what I dream about doing someday...
Zoic studios sounds like fun... Is that where you work, Titon?
I am mildly acquainted with Lee Stringer thru a few eMails and PMs... He occassionally visits www.RiseofKobol.com... Apparently he has been very busy with working and teaching, because I haven't received any orthographic references of the Heavy Raider (troop transport), or any references of cockpits, so we can properly represent them in the game... Maybe you can help me there?
--------------------------------
ok, How do I get this board to NOT show the thread replies in reverse?
Is there someone I have to talk to in order to get access to member profiles, etc? I apparently don't have permission to do anything on this board...

I did freelance work for the 2003 mini series with Lee as the FX supervisor. It sure was a kick!

Since you are new here...(4 posts)...there are certain options that will not be available to you. (Avatars, probably memer lists, etc.) Once you surpass a certain number (trust me, not a heavy number at all), those options will open up for you.
As for how you view thread replies:
Look in your profile section. This is accessible when you look at Private Messaging. (I don't know if PM's are available to you this early in the game but they should be.) Anyhoo...check your private messages....you should see a column of options in the left side.
Under CONTROL PANEL, click "Edit Options"
Scoll down to the third central box which should say : "Thread Display Options"
In the second group (Thread Display Mode) You should have a box that allows you to change the manner in which you view your threads. Select: LINEAR-Oldest First.
That should solve your problem.
Welcome to the Fleets, and your talent is extraordinary.
Respectfully,
Martok2112

I can only get the low poly links to look right at the moment, but very nice work. The G-80 cycles, never thought I'd see those done CG. That's just out and out fun!
Nice work.

Thanx again for the warm welcome!
@ Titon: Did you still want to discuss something with me? I haven't received any emails or anything...
@ Jewels: Sorry... Maybe Photobucket.com was having a hiccup or something...
@ martok2112: Thanx for the info... The thread order is fixed... How many posts do I need to have in order to be able to use any features, like private messages and profiles? I am not a very talkative person by nature, unless I have something important to say or ask, and can't seem to force myself to spam... There is a board that I have been frequenting for over 2 years now but I only have 1152 posts...

That's nice work overall, but I have to say the General Lee is what made me speak up. That is truly cool.
