I am of two minds on file-sharing:
1. The artists deserve the money they would get if you bought their CD. I try to support new artists.
2. On the other hand, I am poor. My budget is too tight to buy all of the CDs I want, and it's almost torture to be unabe to enjoy the music you love. Plus, you can find stuff you can never find in a store onm a P2P orpgram.
