For those who haven't heard Tom DeSanto's spiel, he stated that one of the things that was going to happen in his version was that Apollo was to have gone missing for a specified period of time (which is why Boxey/Orin was in charge of the Galactica). At the end of the first episode or season (can't remember which) he would have been seen... and a close-in shot would have shown the revolving red eye in his pupils... that's why I call it the desantoapollo lol

Anyway, the part I liked was that the next season would have been a father-son duel that would have ended with redemption for Apollo at the end. I always liked that.
DeSanto knew how to treat Galactica... unlike others I could mention but won't
