Dirk brought so much to the Faceman character(like he did with Starbuck) that the character would almost have to be rewritten, IMO.

I remember watching the show when I was about 7 or 8. IIRC, it was produced by Aaron Spelling. It's safe to say that Mr. Spelling gave Dirk his first TV series break, I guess.

I did come across a copy of the pilot episode on Ebay a few years ago. The description said it was VHS transfer from a 16mm print, but I couldn't afford it at the time, darn it.
