History of Battlestar Galactica

A Chronology of Events concerning the the three Battlestar Galactica television series

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some have disputed my recollections of past events, but I believe it is constant with the above timeline. The timeline should be educational to newcomers that are interested in the history of all the Galactica television shows and the various attempts to revive the show.

Very interesting. Lots of info I didn't know. Thanks Sci-Fi! :salute: :Nsalute:

Not bad - not bad at all.

If you want more, though, check out the information at the Cylon Alliance:

CA BSG Section

Updates happen, too. ;)

I find something fascinating, though. Read through that and you see something consistent throughout the entire 25 years that covers - and that's an interest in continuing the original. Every toy, everything; any time the fans speak they said 'continuation'.

Pity they didn't listen. It would have been grand.

I had to wait and watch "Take the Celestra" when it aired in rerun.

I was in the hospital, welcoming my daugther, Athena into the world :-)

Clear, helpful and from what I skimmed, without anger. Thank you.

Hmm, very interesting reading. Also, I don't believe that I've ever seen that TV guide cover before. That was pretty cool.

Rowan February 21st, 2005 09:55 PM

Very cool Sci-Fi  Thank you :D
I skimed it briefly I noticed though that the last entry says:
"Battlestar Galactica begins its regular run on SPACE The Imagination Station in Canada, Saturdays at 8:00 PM and then re-run on Sundays at 8:00 PM."

For me it's 5 pm Sat and 3 pm Sun, in Canada. Now the first one might be an EST vs. PST thing but the second one not sure what that's about ... just thought I'd mention it :salute: :Nsalute:

TopGun February 28th, 2005 04:39 AM

That's pretty cool, but they failed to mention that Grace 'Boomer' Park was also born on 8th April 1980 (the same day as Katee 'Starbuck' Sackhoff) and that's only 2 Months before I was born :D

Fragmentary February 28th, 2005 12:02 PM

They were both born on the same day? Freaky.
Now bathe them and bring them to me.

Yeah, I think that John's even older than me, but not by much. I was born in 1960 and graduated in the oh-so-famous year of 1978!

TopGun February 28th, 2005 01:54 PM

I wonder how old the youngest member is?

Rowan February 28th, 2005 01:58 PM

it's hard to tell because not everyone says when they were born or even tells the truth about that LOL! We have some members who are teenagers though.

TopGun February 28th, 2005 01:59 PM

Thats a good sign, that BSG is alive and well (or that they like the new one :D)

Rowan February 28th, 2005 02:02 PM

Well callsighfalcon joined long before the new bsg and would be only 17 now :D

TopGun February 28th, 2005 02:03 PM

That is indeed good to hear

Rowan February 28th, 2005 02:04 PM

Hang on I need to correct that!! actually appears to have joined about the time that the new bsg aired in the US apologies!!

TopGun February 28th, 2005 02:05 PM

Hey Spike,
Be sure to avoid microwave ovens as well. Cylons and microwaves don't mix. I remember being at halloween party back in 1980 with my good friend Wolfman Jack when we learned that lesson the hard way. :D
