Muffit,
that was cool! you are so visual, and multisensory! The cell bars....oh, my! :D |
Oh Muffit that was really cool
After reading these two sections I knew what "you" were and what you were describing. "Through my periphery, I saw the bars on either side, and walls perhaps at head and feet. I was in a cell." and "It was then I noticed it; a bizarre device suspended above me. Forming a circle at its perimeter, hung pale colored objects, of shapes I could not begin to understand. " After working in the maternity ward I spent many hours thinking about the birthing process and the world of a baby and how they might perceive their surroundings the way you describe it is very much what I imagined. The way you have structured this story reminds me of a short story I read in college called "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson http://www.classicshorts.com/stories/lotry.html |
Thanks Jewels!! Thanks Rowan!! And Rowan, I was hoping it would read like that.. kinda give ya clues and you might (or might not) guess the ending, kinda like a whodunnit.
Thank you all for reading!!! :muffit: |
