Jack Stauffer endorses Colonial Fan Force efforts!

Hello to all -

Last night I was checking out some BSG links and I cruised Jack Stauffer's website - I love the BSG theme music and the animations that his son (his webmaster) has done on that site, it really made me smile. Anyway, I thought that I would let Mr. Stauffer know about CFF and get his thoughts. Here is his reply to my letter:

Hey Bryan - -

Never say die. You of course may add my name to your endorsement list. But they better hurry up and do this thing or we will all be too old. It will be wheelchairs in space. You know Richard and I spent three years playing the trailer all over the United States to standing ovations. it was because of the 2nd. Coming trailer that BSG was even considered for revival. All along Richard met with resentment and indifference. It wasn't till Sci-Fi saw the increasingly large fan base that they decided to go ahead with their alternate version. I am not going to prattle on. If you have followed my comments over the past couple of years, you know my opinions.

Just keep a realistic outlook. Glenn is an fabulous opportunist. If he could have put a viable package together to resurrect BSG, he would have done so already. I don't know if he has the resourses or the clout in the industry today to be taken seriously.

Be Well -

Jack "Bojay" Stauffer
Bill - it looks like you better add another endorsement to the list!

Regards,
Bryan

Damn, Bryan! Can't believe I fracking missed this one!

Okay... adding it to the site now! good work... and THANKS!

CommanderTaggart March 17th, 2004 08:30 PM

Bryan... can you see if he'll write a few "official" sentences for the Feedback page?

I doubt comments regarding wheelchairs and Glen's opportunistic nature constitute the message he wants to send in an official endorsement.

I was wondering......

I just went off and did it on my own as a lark - oddly enough, through a link to Jack's website on the CFF page......

I was starting to think that you only cared about the "high profile" names!

I would encourage people giving some positive feedback directly to the stars that endorsed this. The stars need as much positive good will as they can get.

:)

Thomas... I have done so... I hope other will, too!

Jack is one of the nicest people on the net. He is entitled to his opinions on Galactica and shouldn't be chastised for his opinions. I agree that a movie needs to be made asap before the originals are too old and the brains at the studio decide to forget the whole thing. In other words let's not screw ourselves by silencing tos actors who have strong opinions.

I agree as long as the fans don't go overboard and shoot theirselves in the
foot while supporting the actors.

HUH?!?!?

Who on earth would want to silence these guys?!?

If you are refering to moi, I merely say that these guys deserve some positiveness from us. They are people too. And I think it would be a nice measure to see their lives bettered by some positive compliments.

*gives KF a friendly kick in the aft thrusters*

I think he was referring to me, Thomas.

Paul, Jack wrote that email to Bryan, not to me or CFF. I don't have Jack's permission to reprint that email on the CFF Feedback page. Of course he's entitled to his opinion... I'm just guessing that private email to Bryan may not be the one he wants "officially" representing his opinions in the CFF Feedback forum. If it is, all fine and dandy.

Thomas I hit the quote button for the wrong post. I was commenting on Jack's letter which hits a homerun IMHO. Jack is honest. Honesty is always the best policy.
