I'm glad they cut out the handjob

In the early version I got to see they were much more graphic in the first scene. Instead of just a tongue swapping kiss, the early cut had Six move her hand down his front and give his balls a good feel. They showed it on camera. She kept her hand down there and kissed him hard as the place was going to pieces. he struggled but couldn't move.

They really toned that down.

Also I recall seeing six's butt in Baltar's room. It was a brief shot as she was undressing. I could be mistaken, it was fast.

Btw, one thing that came to mind, didn't Baltar ever do it "doggystyle" Cause I am sure he woulda noticed the red glowing back. :)

Sorry ladies for the crudity :)

So if the pro mini fans wonder why I was so appauled, you know why now. This is a show most kids will be able to watch.

Handjob?! Doggy-style?!
Do you remember the original when they re-shot the scene in the launch tube with Starbuck and Caseopeia because in the first version Starbuck was shirtless?
Now it has come to this.

The old show wasn't totally innocent :D

I just saw the original scene with Athena half undressed talking to Starbuck. The running commentary by Herb Jefferson, Dirk Benedict, and Richard Hatch was priceless!

Quote:

Dirk: Uhoh...

Richard: What's that?! I don't remember this shot!

Dirk: This was cut out!

RH: Is she wearing a garter?

DB: This they did not...

RH: wait.....I DON'T REMEMBER THIS!

Herb: Talk about added scenes!

DB: Quiet. Lets listen to this one!
..
...

HJ: Well Dirk, nobody's looking at YOU!

And later Dirk jokes how he really wanted to redo the scene over. With him looking at the girl this time. :D

Yes but the cinematography was so well done all we ever saw was her shoulder, and Dirk didn't cheat and steal a glance in this scene, he did the total gentleman keeping his back to the half unclothed lady. (he later glanced up Laurette's skirt in "the Hand of God" when they were climbing the ladder. Boys!)

The commentary was hilarious at this and other points.

I just remembered something: I talked to Richard on the phone while he was reviewing the movie pilot to refresh his memory, right before he was going over to Uni to tape this....that's why you got such a reaction from him on the commentary--what he'd just reviewed wouldn't have had this. Only the PAL tapes had this scene.

Starbuck December 9th, 2003 12:18 PM

Gosh, that entire running commentary is a riot! I loved the bit where Dirk is talking about having to pray each night to keep his hands to himself when he was around Laurette. Richard's comment was "Well, that didn't stop you from keeping your hands off of anyone else!" :girl: :choco:

Glad to see a sense of humor

Man,from some of the posts here,I thought you were all a bunch of prudes.

What exactly was the term the original series used for Cassiopeia's occupation?

I really don't understand why anyone would object to expicit sexual depictions. Every parent I have known wants their child to grow up and experience these kind of things, perhaps in a religiously sanctified context. But still, what is the harm?

Darth Marley December 10th, 2003 12:44 AM

Doggie?

I also wondered about this.

You would think after two years of coupling....
