Cassioppia as Starbuck's Greatest Regret? What About Athena?
 

I don't know about other fans, but I personally think that Starbuck should of ended up with Athena.

For one thing, she's prettier! :D

Also I got the impression that he actually loved Athena, but pushed her away because he knew she was the perfect girl and was afriad of being tied down. With Cassie he knew there was no real chance for commitment so he leaned more towards her. I'm not saying he didn't care for Cassie, but he didn't TRUELY love her that way IMHO.

Don't forget that Athena was the Commander's daughter!!! That will surely have some influence in his decision. You'd better straighten up if you go out with Athena!!!

This is one of the reasons why I think the show didn't really take off. Glen Larson created the character Athena...promoted the show with Maren Jensen's gorgeous looks on the cover of TV guide....and then gave Maren Jensen fans very little in terms of story line......for Athena....

Maren Jensen and Dirk seemed to have a lot of chemistry...but basically had no scenes together after the first two eppys. Just another gripe Maren Jensen fans have with the TOS.

Ahhh but in the looker room scene in Saga he was very obvioulsly proposing....
