Well folks i just booked my flight. Been an up and down struggle to get to this point. I don't have a lot of time to spare as of late but in the last few days it has become a must to be there.

Let's just say i have a feeling this will be a very special event.

Our plain will land Wednesday 22 October 10.45 pm. In LA. We (my sister and I) will leave Sunday afternoon. It’s a pity we can stay longer. :(

Warrior has been gracious to allow me to sit at the Colonial Fleets table and chat/sell books.....lords of kobol know i don't want to do that all day lol.

The plane ticket and the cost of admission alone are nuts....but, it is a once in a lifetime event.

I thought the price was high until I saw what the "Somewhere in Time folks shell out for their weekend at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island in October (brrrrr.) Only an all inclusive hotel/meals/event option with them: I think it was $899 for 1 person....couple hundred more for a couple. And Mackinac is not convenient to any major airports as I recall....YIKE

Oh, and their cast folks (primarily Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour) don't show up each year (for obvious reason's in Mr. Reeve's case).

Galacticon is a bargain in comparison.
