Canada becomes the last great refuge for sharing music and video files

Basically the recording industry war against online file sharing just hit a major barrier. Canada made it essentially legal to share files on the net. Which means even if they stop it in america, the canadians can flood the net with music files. :D |
Yeesss !
And did you read the topic on that article ? " BLAME CANADA !"
Don't blame canada.., THANK CANADA. Lazerdragon. |
All Hail Cannada!

I am of two minds on file-sharing:
1. The artists deserve the money they would get if you bought their CD. I try to support new artists. 2. On the other hand, I am poor. My budget is too tight to buy all of the CDs I want, and it's almost torture to be unabe to enjoy the music you love. Plus, you can find stuff you can never find in a store onm a P2P orpgram. |
I agree Earl.

I know I'm late in replying to this, okay I'm new here. But I didn't know until now why I was still allowed to download and my American friends were not. Now I understand.
I like being able to download music, that way I get the songs I like, without having to take the one's I don't like. Proud to be Canadian. :beaver: |
Welcome to the club Starbuck
The music industry has already filed 200 lawsuits so far against people who are downloading and sharing music on the internet .......some of the people being sued are kids who used their parents computer. This is in the USA by the way. |
The reason kids download music is because of the cost. Teenagers don't have very much much money and CD's are not cheap. If they would lower the cost of the CD, even if that means the artist gets a lower cut, maybe they would sell more.

WHOO HOO!
Hail Canada. Land of back bacon, maple syrup, Moosehead Beer and the free MP3 download :D Gotta love it EH? Tracy http://teulonlions.com/images/ca-flag1.gif |
my new love next to the wife and kids is Canada. i even took the time to cap the "c" in Canada. for those that know me, it is not something i do often.
if it gets any worse here in america i will have to move to Canada. i like to support the artist but the way i look at file sharing it is no different from taping a song from the radio. i can call any station and ask for any song. just like on any p2p. i still buy 2 or so cd's a week. the music industry is nothing but greedy arseholes. they are wanting to ruin the internet with their greedy fingers. freedom of sharing ideas is what sharted the net and ceo's want to make a killing off it. i will always continue to download for free, nightscape |
