Battle/Base Star size comparison?

Would i be correct in assuming that a BaseStar and a BattleStar are about the same length?

After reading the debates about the size of the galactica herself, I'd have to wonder.

Looking at Mission Galactica: The Cylon Attack the Cylon basestars are somewhat larger in size and mass. When the Pegasus passes under the Basestar at point blank range unlike the 2 part Living Legend the size between the two types of ships is there to be compared in scale.

Going back and looking at the movie version, the Battlestars are the same length but i would say a basestar is almost double why? Go back and look at the shot when the Pegasus is under the first baseship? It looks like the Pegasus is only as big and long as the bottom scaucer section?

Same length yes maybe

Same size?

Like Erzengel says and i have pointed out, look at the shot from Mission Galactica again Cylon Basestars are HUGE. Same length as a Battlestar yeah, size wise Oh boy. Lets not forget Cylon Basestars do hold over 300 fighters make sense they would be larger due to hull spaces inside to hold all those Raiders and a few Cylon tankers as well.

KJ

And Richard Hatch would have gigantic "Supercylon Basestars" chasing the poor colonial fleet in his version. Ouch!
