JRR Tolkin fans?
I just found this website and I thought it was cool for those that love Lord of The Rings.......you can find your Elf and Hobbit names.....these would also make great names for Galactica characters.
My Elf name is....Galadriel Alcarin. My Hobbit name is Lobelia Dogwood of Shadydowns. You can use name variations and middle names to get a variety. http://www.chriswetherell.com/elf/Default.asp |
Oh you know what? I found this and shared it with the people on another site I frequent, and they liked it so much, that a special forum was created. You had to get a name, and them create an account with that name, and only using that account could you post in the forum.
My name for the forum is Belladonna Boffin of Deephallow. |
 That was way awesome Em!My real elf name is Elessar Elendil...I really appreciate the link you gave too.:) and lol at my hobbit name too..It's Till Peatfiingers of Brockenborings.Really loves this too.
Huor Coamenel is my elf name and my hobbit is Popo Bumbleroot.. now only if they had a dictionary...
Yeah. That would be cool too Erz...
I'd like to see what my handle (archangel) translate into in hobbit and elf.
I am so glad you like it. Here is the link for the Council of Elrond. I really enjoy it there. It has so many intresting facts and trivia and great links to go to. They even have a section for learning the Elvish language. I do believe there is a link for a dictionary.....

Erzengel....your Elf name for archangel is Celebrian.
You know what? I just checked it, and it's not the same one. The one I found was a Middle Earth name generator.

Thanks Em again.I bookmarked it.I use my elf name in a game I play Morrowind. You can be a dark elf or a imperial knight or a khajitt which is a cat person and a orc and a lizard forgot what the lizard is called though.Anyway I use that name for that game now.Anyway thinks ya might like it if your into elfs and stuff. http://elderscrolls.com I just got done playing the computer version of it but taunted a guard and then he attacked me and killed me.LOL, why it took me a while to respond.:)
Celebrian... Thanks, I must now go and find a forum to sign up to with this new handle.

oooooo! thanks, that is so cool!!!
this would be my maiden name in elvish: Nienna Alatariel Elensar (couldn't decide what I liked better as a 1st name) Hobbit: Myrtle Bramble of Willowbottom (just too fun since I like to garden!) :) |

I love it there. |
Yeah, jewels, I tried all of my names too. Ciryatan is my maiden name, so I use it as my warrior name. Gilrean is Emerita in elvish....
Em I tried to Boxey to but couldn't get it to work..Did he have a last name on the show or was it just Boxey??
I got Seremela for Boxey. You always have to put a last name in too..You can use any name. Sometimes I use Fox or Doe. I don't remember if they ever said Boxey's last name..That is a good question...
Thanks Em wonders if I should ask that in the reg discussin place and goes and puts that in my signature now also.
yes, That is a good question. I would like to know. I bet not many do.
I wonder if there might just, somewhere, be a "Middle-Kobol"?
I don't know...we could invent one......
Well, if we do, then there must be a Dark Lord Mooron, and his most feared servants, the Hammer-Wraiths, ensconced in the hideous fortress of Scifi-Dur.:p
My name is Alatariel of Dorthonion
Sounds a little femmy. What is Dorthonion? |
It is a section in Middle Earth....kind of like a small community...and no that name is not femmy...lol... The more beautiful the name, the stronger and wiser the man....
Had some fun with this, instead of using my name to generate the hobbit and elf names, I tried my handle - here's what I came up with:
Hobbit - Falco Burrows Elf - Mahtan Saralonde :) |
Those are cool....
