Another teaser from BattleStar Galactica Wars...

Re: Another teaser from BattleStar Galactica Wars...
New version with now whiter TIEs (sounds like a Tide commercial...ha ha ha)
http://youtu.be/IH1-9ktXyVc This reminds me, there are probably a few other shots where I'll need to brighten up the TIE fighters a bit. |

Another teaser shot...
This time, TIE fighters and interceptors launching from my improved star destroyer. I think this shot really turned out dynamic. :) http://youtu.be/9N58fa9Sslg |

Re: Another teaser from BattleStar Galactica Wars...
Just browsed all of em.....
Some nice shots. Animations,,, Did you use some camera tweaking--? It appears almost fishbowl-ish ,, it lends an odd effect-look to the video.... looks cool. |
Re: Another teaser from BattleStar Galactica Wars...
There were a few shots where I changed the cameras to a smaller lens, to try and add some size to certain sets and ships. But with a lot of the reedits I'm doing, I'm hoping to be able to stick with a minimum of 35mm, especially since a lot of the shots I am doing are "actor scaled" shots...in other words, every thing is scaled to a normal size character/avatar in iClone....so if you see an "actor scale" Galactica shot, just know that that model is HUGE!!!! :)
Glad you liked it. :) |
Re: Another teaser from BattleStar Galactica Wars...
Here's a redux of the Vipers chasing TIE's teaser, now with dialogue, and improved dynamic shots. :)

Re: Another teaser from BattleStar Galactica Wars...
Nice.
I think you are doing a fine job of it. Liked the flyby of the big ships. Something I have seen and yet to try my hand at doing. I am hoping to on this BSG vs BSG vid. The bigger , blastier scenes are frightfully long to make ( not incl Render times) In Fact I think I scored a complete overkill of my CPU with too much in a scene, which is not much : 1 Capital ship 70 guns so far some twin and 4 barrel Each barrel has 2 lights and 2 emitters and a tracer with hair material --- half are animated with movements 8 flashes 8 Multi emitter explosions BG-Sky Keep getting out of memory- but hell, 16 GB Ram >TB Free space Pi7 2700 3.4 Ghz I should be able to add 1-3 more ships of same... Re: Another teaser from BattleStar Galactica Wars...
Thanks, Randal. :)
I have to say, this is one of the reasons I love iClone....really quick (or at least, relatively quick) render times. Depending on the intensity of the scene, I can render a scene in just a couplee of minutes, or up to an hour if it's really action or poly heavy. Everything you saw on that scene, with the exception of the Viper pilots talking (those were Alpha channeled into the mix) was full assets....so, two capital ships, two Vipers, two TIE Interceptors, some explosions, and a lot of blaster fire, all at once. That was using the 64 bit version of the current iClone. I don't know how iClone does it...but I like it. :) |
