cantina song question

This is my bizarre question of the week:
What kind of dance music is the cantina song? I know it's a disco tune, but that's not what I am asking. Is it a tango, chacha, foxtrot or swing song?

Re: cantina song question

I'd hazard a guess as being swing, certainly jazzy. (Meco's version is definitely disco).

I hate to quote Wikipedia but it says:

The Cantina segment was enhanced by composer John Williams' jazz instrumentals, featured on the soundtrack album as "Cantina Band" and "Cantina Band #2." The score reflects Williams' interest in jazz from the 1950s; the composer later cited his intention to invoke kind of a "1940s feel"

do not know the definitions of music types,
but my first guess would have been swing also.
