One more tour!
I thought my passport would collect dust the rest of its ages. In March of next year, I get to do one more round. Though self employed, a former boss of mine is with a new company in Chicago and they need a "gun for hire". They are hoping to break into the european markets hot and heavy. So, I gave him my compensation demands, expense account requests, and suggested path.
So come March, I hit Germany, CZ, Austria, then I will continue south hitting the baltic countries and then stretch my way to Istanbul for giggles and then back home. |
SOUND WILD :) good for you

I am semi retired. For most of my life I have been in sales. Being good at something and enjoying it are two different things. My passion lay in technical writing and bringing technology to those who cannot afford it by way of open source software. These ventures do not make me a whole heck of a lot of money and I so have a six year old with needs...so every so often I will be a hired hand. Usually I will walk into a commission only gig for well..anyone for a month and be able to ride off of that score for a few months. This will be a two month tour and if I play it right, I should be able to coast for a few years on it. Staying away from Lithuania this time. Me and some russian gentlemen had an issue with each other.

issues can be a pain .. this I know ...

Ha yes that's a problem :)

congrats on the gig. Does your daughter get to tour Europe with you? That would be sort of cool.

She will come with me for the first leg along with a cousin. After that, I will have her and my cousin on a plane back to the states. It is not like I am entering the middle east, but as you get into certain parts of the cz and baltic regions, things can get dicey.

Kind of like going on a six-month deployment to the Med, on ship. There's always a different port visit to look forward to.

Travel Well;
Best of Luck, and gety back safely.
