Calling more cast members!

That was really cool to have a cast member sound off in the new mini area. I would like to hear from more cast members!

thomas7g December 12th, 2003 11:05 PM

Glad you liked it. I had fun too! We were amazingly fortunate.

Frack! How did we get so lucky?! :)

Dean Martin December 12th, 2003 11:07 PM

Maybe because a positive area was created for the mini and he felt comfortable posting here. Makes me feel like it was important to push for this area to be hater free as hard as I did.

thomas7g December 12th, 2003 11:16 PM

The whole plan for the forums was to get away from the crazyness that plagued the bg fanbase cause of scifi.

Me and Don sat very tired in these big chairs at the Galacticon around Midnight and just talked about how sick we were of the revival fanaticism. Sure a revival of the old girl was something we both deeply wanted, but we hated the hate that went with it. And he told me if the forums dissapeared he wouldn't miss them at all. And I kinda knew how he felt.

So we basically decided to retire from the fight. And sometime after the mini we planned to make CF a "not my problem man" kind of place. Like a tropical island with no stress, that's how we envisioned CF.

We knew CF had alot of angst it had to release. And we knew it wouldn't blow off till the mini aired. But where we are now is where we chose to go that night.
:)

And let me tell ya, that last month was TOUGH. :)

Dean -

You can actually thank JJrakman for this bit of "good fortune". JJ snatched Aaron from the discussion board at IMDB.com a few days ago and invited him to come over to the Cylon Alliance board. Being that he happens to be a big Sci-Fan as well as a fan of TOS, I'm sure that he could appreciate what Colonial Fleets has to offer. I'm quite pleased to see Aaron posting over here as well - we'll just have to keep him away from the Skiffy board though...

Bryan

Anyone to help me please.
I would like to send this page to some of the other cast and see if they could pop in for a bit. Is there a way of doing that here or is the best way to copy the adress and e-mail them?

Aaron -

Here is the url for the Fleets Forum:

http://www.colonialfleets.com/forumhome.htm

Just tell your castmates to look for Calling More Cast Members! in the Battlestar Galactica Miniseries: The Good Stuff thread.

I hope that helped - I'm a bit technically challenged on a PC myself.

From this insomniac idiot milling around IMDB forums at 3:00 a.m. That's how. ;)

Tyrol - here, copy and paste this URL into an e-mail:

http://www.colonialfleets.com/forumhome.htm

That will take them directly to the forums. Or you could send them to our homepage and have them click on the forums link:

http://www.colonialfleets.com/

Thanks Much!

Hito December 13th, 2003 02:18 PM

Just cut and paste this URL

colonialfleets.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=51

into the email you send to Ms. Park (hint hint)
It will send people directly to the Miniseries section.

Starbuck December 13th, 2003 02:20 PM

Bonnie Hammer should have hired Aaron to do her PR for the mini, he can charm the birds from the trees.

Regards,

Peter

Starbuck...at least not with teeth.
Thank you Rhonda...keep it up and you will be my favorite
Peter. That's it! you win! BEST picture as avatar! Hands down! Give that man the ten thousand dollars. That is as good as anything I have seen. You sir, are huge! Speechless...so many analogies...time to sit quietly and reflect on my youth spent watching Magnum and seeing my mom get weakknee'd everytime he came on. Sorry guys off topic but I am stunned. Anyway good work.

thomas7g December 13th, 2003 03:17 PM

okay... that does it... I was planning on making a link icon. I guess I'll do that now. :)

its not inuitive, but the thread title contains the link to the thread.

I really need to make that clearer for everyone. :)

I'm with Aaron and Peter - Magnum PI was one of the finest shows I've ever watched. Unlike other shows from the 1980s, this one has aged pretty good!

Zeus, Apollo! Sit!

(But was Higgins Robin Masters...)

thomas7g December 13th, 2003 04:01 PM

YUP! And Magnum PI was created by Donald Belisario who was a senior writer on Battlestar Galactica! Magnum PI, Airwolf, Quantum Leap, JAG...This guy is bankable!

I heavily second that peter!

If Aaron was doing the PR the mini wouldn't have had that huge division with the fanbase.

Next time, they have to stick Mrs Hammer in the closet and let Aaron be the spokesperson. ;)

Don't forget Tales of the Gold Monkey! Stephen Collins....... :girl: :choco:

thomas7g December 13th, 2003 05:33 PM

OH he did that? I loved that little show!

I think that must be where he met his future wife, Faye Grant (the star of V). They are still married too!

LadyImmortal December 13th, 2003 07:23 PM

Hear that guys, I'm gonna be Aaron's favorite!

So, let's see, I need to do more to get myself up on his list. Here, Aaron. Ambrosia? Grog? Beer? Bailey's Irish Creme? How about a Diet Coke?

--Rhonda (not above bribery if it gets me up that list <G>)
