A remake idea that might work
Recently, I watched an interview with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, promoting the new film, Larry Crowne. During the interview, which was fun to watch, Hanks made an off-the-cuff remark about their next venture (he and Roberts) would be to do a remake of Hart-to-Hart, the 80's show which featured Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers in the title roles, playing a husband and wife who were amateur detectives.
As much as I detest remakes, this is one that I could get behind. I couldn't think of 2 better actors to cast as Jonathan and Jennifer Hart. It could really be fun and with Hanks and Roberts, you know that you'd be getting a quality story. Hopefully, this idea will grow legs. NOTE: Please keep in mind that this was simply a "remark" by Hanks, during the interview, and could have been said in jest. |

That'll be interesting. Maybe have Robert Wagner as Max.
Keeping the theme someplace would be decent. |

I can see that better than my Wagner suggestion :) Keitel's got a lot more in common in every way with Max.

Leave the classics alone. It would be like doing another Robin Hood remake, and casting Arnold Schwarzenegger as Friar Tuck.

I just found the interview video, with Hanks' (and Roberts') remarks, that I mentioned in the first post.
