Colonial Triad League

questions and comments
1. What are the rules of triad? I don't know if I've ever seen them written down.
2. Where is the game being played? How long has this league been in existence? 3. Most importantly, where are the scimpy uniforms?! 4. It almost looks like cornhole on steroids. (You either know what cornhole is or you don't.) Mary |
Re: Colonial Triad League
And they had three members per side it seems...they need to get into an indoor space so the ball doesn't fly out every time it misses one of those walls...

Re: Colonial Triad League
Well, from their YouTube channel comments, they seem to be from Brisbane, Australia, and have been out there for about 9 months:
http://www.triadleague.com/ Seems that they treat it like basketball, where you have to bounce the ball off the walls, pass it or shoot before moving. If I'm reading their rules right, you have to bounce the ball off of the marked corner panels to set points before getting the ball into one of the goals. I'd need to rewatch the DVDs to see if that matches, but I think it might. Although the video shows a 3-on-3 match, they have rules for 2-on2 and 1-on1, as well. Very Nice!!! |
Re: Colonial Triad League
You know, this gets me to thinking: wouldn't it be cool to build a court with walls, etc. just like in the show. Walls could be made of wood and supported on the outside, ...
Would be neat... |
Re: Colonial Triad League
Anyone notice they have Triad, and Pyramid names reversed in the new show.
