Battlestar Galactica Game Hits The UK Press

Hi all,

There was an interesting bit of trivia regarding the new Battlestar Galactica Game on the UKs Video Games show Gamesville which shows weekdays on SKY ONE at 12 noon and 4pm GMT time respectively.

When quizzed about the Origins on the game by the Presenter, the representative stated that it was set 40 years before events of the original and the mini. In fact he went on to say that it is a crossover of both the original and the mini thus the reason that it takes story elements from both the Ron Moore Produced show and the Original Glen Larson show of the late 70's

The representive from warhog games went on to add that all the flight models of the Vipers were taken exclusively from the original 1970's show. And not only do you get to Fly Vipers, but you also get to fly other vehecles as well as being a gunner abaord the Galactica herself. The TV presenter who was talking to the Representive was really jazzed, and introduced the game as being base on the coolest Sci Fi show of the 70's saying that Galactica had all the best Space Ships and Flight scenes of that era in Television.

Rest assured, I have the BG game on Order, and as soon as I get my Grubby mits on it. I will be posting a full review at Sci Fi Pulse. Also hopefully, i will be obtaining the DVD Box set of the Classic series if my finances allow. But I would say that the game is a worthwhile purchase, because I have been told by a Source that Richard Hatch has a quite substantial role in the game as Adama's Wing Commander, and both Dirk and Richard Reprise their roles as Apollo and Starbuck for a timewarp element which is written into the games story.
