It's so hard when they reach that age. I put down my 16yr old this past summer, kidney failure. She was on 6 different meds twice daily and I had to given her Sub Q fluids daily as well it was a lot of work and a lot of money but I staved off the enevitable for another 2 years. She was brought into the vet hospital I worked at at the time (she was 3yrs old) to be put to sleep because she was too fat, I offered to adopt her and they let me keep her.:D

the needs of my kids call me away so i will take one last attempt for the thread

well it affects me by making it a little difficult to breath I'm always a little stuffed up. It does not affect my eyes if it did I'd have to give them up but I'm willing to live with a little discomfort.:D so no I actually don't take any meds.
