Inalienable
Inalienable--New Hatch project
Has anybody heard about this? Or am I just late finding out, as usual? http://www.walterkoenigsite.com/ |
Re: In
Haven't seen it. I had this urge to just put down:
'out' after seeing the title of this thread. |
Re: In
It was supposed to be the title of the movie, but there was a slip, an oops, a whoops . . . and I couldn't find a function to edit the title once it was done. Life goes on. ;)
Maybe a mod would be so kind as to fix it. . . .? |

Re: Inalienable
Thanks, Pete!
Ah, so Koenig wrote it. Didn't realize that at first. |

Richard Hatch (Apollo); Walter Koenig (Commander Chekov - ST:TOS, Alfred Bester - B5); Marina Sirtis (Councillor Deanna Troi - ST:TNG); Richard Herd (Admiral Paris - ST:VOY); J.G. Hertzler (General Martok - ST:TNG,DS9); Alan Ruck (Captain John Harriman - Enterprise B, ST:Generations) This has gotten my curiosity and I'd like to see it. :) |
Re: Inalienable
I admit that I'm getting a certain morbid fascination for the project . . . if it was a comedy, I'm sure I'd love it. Just not sure they'll pull it off as a sci-fi drama. Can't help but think of 'V', when the young girl had the really ugly little alien.

Re: Inalienable
I'm definitely interesting in seeing it.
The cast sounds really good to me too. |
Re: Inalienable
I thought this was released on the web quite a while back?
EDIT: It was, a few months shy of two years ago ;) http://www.colonialfleets.com/forums...ad.php?t=15048 |

Re: Inalienable
NEARLY two years ago. And it was released on the web, so no, not too many saw it... if they could get the web version working at that time. Click the thread I posted for more about the web release.
...and order it on DVD via the links I provided :D |
Re: Inalienable
Doesn't sound like it was too popular, from your link, Warrior.
Think I'll wait for the VHS release . . . |
Re: Inalienable
I can think of movies I'd much rather watch than an MPREG. :P:
|
Re: Inalienable
Just watched the trailor and liked it...I just may get this.

Re: Inalienable
MPREG rather than an MPEG...

Re: Inalienable
I saw this on sale at Wal Mart yesterday for around ten bucks. It looks pretty good.
|
Re: Inalienable
Did it look good enough to buy it? ;)
|
Re: Inalienable
I'd buy it for ten bucks!

Re: Inalienable
Well, let us know what's it's like if you buy it.

Re: Inalienable
Well... after all this time, I finally got around to watching this.
All I can say is... on one hand, I liked it. A lot. On the other, I didn't like it. A lot. Two extremes, and here's why... GOOD: The story. The story itself was excellent. Great premise that is rarely touched on in scifi- Is an alien offspring REALLY your alien offspring, and does it have rights? The way it's played out, story-wise, is good. The actors did fine jobs, given the... BAD: Low budget. I think if this had a higher budget, it would have looked a hell of a lot better on screen, with better "surroundings" for the actors to interact with. Additionally, there is little to no action in the story. Better budget I am sure would have aloud for an action scene or two. The court room scenes... I can think of a lot of questions and facts that should have been there, especially to counter some of the presentations by both sides. They had the right idea, but it wasn't executed as well as I thought it should be. The actors: The only real HONEST prob I had with the actors was two things- Marina Sirtis is looking OLD in this. And Hatch? He's got a little doctor gal young enough to be his GRANDAUGHTER having a sexual relationship with him. Now... having met Richard in real life, he IS like that. But damn... I'm jealous  Over-all, I give InAlienable a B- grade, mostly for effort and ideas. |
