I'd be happy with feeling "funny", coz pain is not good. I keep stopping what I'm doing to see if I've 'caught' it on something or if I've opened it, neither of which has happened.

You are showing great patience. Nerves take a long time to heal and sometimes hurt when re-generating... This is the one time when pain is a good thing.
